Supplier Quality Engineer (all genders)
Giessen, Germany
Responsibilities:

Audit, develop and qualify new suppliers
- Conduct quality audits and perform in-process audits
-
Develop, validate and approve supplier quality plan for new products/components development
-
Assure supplier products/components quality through quality control and quality improvement at supplier site
-
Professionally solve problems for both internal and external customer complaints
- Co-work with suppliers on quality complaints and develop continues improvement.

Lead supplier quality ABC improvement through cross functional teams (strategic sourcing & engineering)

Co-work with Purchasing responsible, Project Engineers and Test Lab
-
Up to 60% of travel
Required Capabilities & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
- + 3 years of working experience in a quality control function, preferably in the Automotive environment
- Familiar with common international certification (ISO9001, IATF16949, VDA6.3, SA8000)
- Heat Treat, Plating and Surface treatment experience is a plus
- Problem Solving Skills (PDCA, 5W, 8D, DMAIC, LEAN) and Project Management experience
- Audit Skills are required to conduct SQA and SA to the supplier side
- Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment
- Proficient in MS Office
- Very good written & verbal communication skills in German and English are mandatory
