Senior Manager Process Engineering (all genders)

Giessen, Germany

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams which design, develop, and implement sustainable near- and long-term business strategies and solutions that enhance supply chain and manufacturing performance - all filtered through a lens of data-driven innovation.
  • Draw on expertise with evolving tools and capabilities and challenge existing assumptions to create tailored, fully integrated solutions that optimize operations to create powerful competitive advantage.
  • Support corporate and business functions in improving process reliability and performance.
  • Facilitate process/continuous improvement. Identify cost-savings and process improvement projects and move them from concept to implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems and process improvements that optimize all phases of processes (financial and non-financial); be actively involved in the development and implementation of long term improvement plans.
  • Create and maintain process flow, PFMEA, Standard Operating Procedures and performance documentation
  • Establish project value propositions that tie financial metrics and CFO focus areas directly to operations business improvement.
  • Lead cost estimate and document all recommended process changes.
  • Provide financial inputs for incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Mentor and Develop junior staff members and new members of the team.

Required Capabilities & Experience

  • Education: Bachelors' degree in Engineering or Business/Finance & Accounting 
  • 10+ Years of job-related experience with business processes standardization, data management, data profiling and process quality in a complex ERP environment
  • Lean/Six-Sigma Black Belt, a MBA & Lean/Six-Sigma Master Black Belt would be a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification desired
  • End-to-end project execution support, including training and coaching
  • Strong analytical skills including data mining, analysis, trending and writing accompanying commentary
  • Business reporting and analytics experience
  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively throughout highly-matrixed organization
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Diverse manufacturing, engineering, and finance experience preferred (Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Improvement)
  • SAP or other major ERP system experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Prepared to travel up to 25 % of time
  • Very good written & verbal communication skills in German and English are mandatory
