We are looking for you as:

Manager (all genders) Electrification Product Engineering & Development

based at our location in Giessen, Germany 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new electrification products based on customer insights and product roadmaps.
  • Motivate & Drive Product Engineering activities in the Electrification Segment geared towards current and forward looking growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a contemporary understanding of customer application needs and trends in fastening and product assembly across the Electrification space.
  • Provide active coaching and direction to sales and product management leaders to help them engage effectively with OEM and Tiers.
  • Participate in customer visits and engineering activities such as VA/VE teardowns, customer line walks and collaborative design projects.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to segment and target specific application and customers to support new product development activities.
  • Develop a set of performance measures to evaluate and drive innovation and vitality.
  • Partner with GM’s, Sales & Business Development Leaders and  be responsible  for accelerating product development through focused initiatives.

 Required Capabilities & Experience

  • Post graduate degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical) with a strong creative skill and problem-solving ability
  • Engineering leadership experience with established network in E-Mobility and Energy Storage segments. 
  • Deep knowledge of critical sub-systems such as Battery, E-Motor, Inverters, DC-DC Converters, Chargers and system level integration.
  • Experience with assembly of battery packs for EV’s or hybrid vehicles as well as leading engineers in design of battery systems for EV cars. 
  • Leadership capabilities with a proven track record working and leading teams in a multi-cultural global environment.
  • Ability to breakdown complex sub-systems down to component level and identify application opportunities with current and new products.
  • Strong interest in working on fastening technologies/solutions to improve EV battery & power train assembly.
  • Experience working with customers and technical teams to develop new products or customize solutions.
  • Strong project management, Financial literacy and customer engagement capabilities.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in German and English are mandatory
